Brentina, born in 1993, is a chestnut Hanovarian mare owned by Peggy and Parry Thomas. Brentina and McDonald live in Hailey Idaho. Brentina and McDonald finished first overall in the 2002 trials, and were part of the US Equestrian Team in its best finish ever at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, with a team Silver Medal, and a fourth place individually. The pair have other international victories, including: 1999 Pan American Games,Team and individual Gold Medals; 2003 World Cup Gold medal; 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, Team Bronze; 2006 World Equestrian Games in Las Vegas, USA, Team Bronze.
